要約(英語): In conventional power systems, large power sources such as thermal, hydro, and nuclear power plants supply almost all the electricity. However, in future power systems, the installed capacity of renewable energy sources such as wind power generation and photovoltaic generation (PV) will increase and they will supply a large amount of electricity. It is concerned that supply-demand imbalances will frequently occur in future power systems. Therefore, the coordinated supply-demand operation between large power sources and renewable energy sources is necessary. In the supply-demand operation of power systems, it is important to consider both the economic efficiency for reducing operational cost of generators, and the reliability for avoiding the occurrence of supply-demand imbalances such as energies shortfall and surplus. Therefore, in this study, we propose a new supply-demand operation method considering economic efficiency as well as reliability. We evaluate the impact of fuel cost variation on supply-demand operation in the future power system (assuming 2030 to 2050 years) where a large PV generation will be installed.
