The full-bridge converter utilizes phase-shift control to achieve zero-voltage switching of the power switches, making high conversion efficiency. However, the most well-known shortcoming of full bridge while operating as phase-shift control is that zero-voltage switching is hard to achieve by the light load. As a result, this study combines the asymmetric half-bridge control and phase-shift control to extend the load range of zero-voltage switching for the light output power.
