要約(日本語): 近年、書籍等の電子書籍化が多くなっている。従来の文字認識では広告等で用いられる一般的なフォントを誇張表現した文字が識別されない問題が生じる。そこで、誇張表現された文字の特徴を利用し、射影を用いて文字領域を推定する手法について検討した。本研究では、二値化画像の差分とラベリング処理を用いることで射影の対象となる画像の改善と射影による領域分割を階層的に行う事により射影による文字領域推定手法の改善を行う。

要約(英語): Recently, it is popular to change a book into a digital e-book. However, special characters may be unable to be read as text data by the conventional character recognition.In this research, we try to improve a character or image area segmentation using proposal method. It is improved for projection by the difference values of a binary image using adaptive thresholding and labeling processing.
