要約(日本語): This study deals with application of voltage source converters to a permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG) driven by an engine. The system is controlled by two control strategies: vector control method and virtual synchronous generator control. The vector control method is adopted for the control of generator side converter by combining an inner current control loop and outer voltage control loop. Thus, a mathematical model of the control system based on the relationships between voltage and current is presented. By this approach, power factor control of generator is achieved. Also, dc-link voltage regulation is performed by generator side converter rather than the grid side converter. The grid side inverter is controlled by a virtual synchronous generator (VSG) control loop which provides smooth transients between islanding and grid connected operation. The closed-loop system response to load changes from no-load to full-load state and from full-load to no-load state is studied in order to test the effectiveness of proposed control structure. The validity of the applied control algorithm has been verified by several simulations using both pulse width modulation (PWM) and diode-based rectifiers.
