要約(英語): EMTP which was a transitional phenomenon analysis program was used by the lightning surge analysis in the insulation and EMC design of electricity facilities conventionally and has been utilized in rationalization of the insulation design, the test voltage standard, the revision of the lightning-resistant design guidebook. In late years the analysis needs in the field of general electric equipment including the general building, the railroad, the communication except the electric power field increase, and newer simulation tools (XTAP, FDTD) are spreading, and the rearranging such as the concrete application methods of those tools is necessary. The calculation principle, characteristic, data input and output method, user interface, the field of application about those tools used for the insulation and EMC design are described in this report.
