要約(英語): Image template matching is applied to various fields such as industrial image applications. This paper proposes a method for image template matching that is based on the order of density in local image area. This method sorts gray-levels of neighboring pixels to the horizontal direction in ascending order and position relations at that time are used for matching is performed between the templates that have the density order table of the pixels and an objective gray-scaled image. The experimental results show that the proposed method had equal or better robustness to shading, inclination, occlusion, off-focus, and noise in comparison with the conventional method.
