A proposed sensorless tuning method for back-phasing damping can determine the appropriate excitation times to suppress the oscillation numerically according to added inertial load conditions after the motor model is estimated from the winding voltage. The driving experiments demonstrate suppression using the excitation times tuned for added loads.
