要約(英語): This paper discusses the effects of short circuits between laminated steets, which are due to interlocking (V-clinching, round-cl., or welding) or core-frame fitting (press or shrink) on the characteristics of electrical steel sheet laminated cores. Short circuit current flows through short circuit parts and lamination surface, and short circuit part flowing current is constant except lamination surface. Then short circuit part loss is generally larger than lamination core loss (lamination surface loss). The short circuit loss is influenced by core configuration and lamination conditions of interlocking and fitting, because short circuit current is induced by more than 2 short circuits and interlinking flux. Short circuit loss is represented by lamination height ratio h to characteristic lamination height x0 where short circuit part resistance is equal to short circuit current flowing part core resistance, short circuit loss ratio KS to classical eddy current loss of core material and flux interlinkage factor Kφ. Therefore estimations using these factors may reduced short circuit loss and may improve motor characteristics.
