要約(日本語): 遮断器の消弧室に設けられている絶縁物はアブレーションを起こし，アークの点弧の際ガスを放出する。このガスがアーク特性に影響を及ぼすことが知られている。そこで，本研究では遮断器の消弧材の消弧性能を調査するために，10種類の平行平板型消弧材を用いて気中放電実験を行い，各消弧材ごとの消弧性能の比較を行った。

要約(英語): When an arc touches insulators which are used in air circuit breakers, ablation gasses are generated and emitted into the arcing space. As well known, ablation gasses may affect the arc characteristics. As a first step of our study, we used parallel plate insulators. We investigate quenching performance of the 10 kinds of polymer insulators.
