要約(日本語): The brightness is needed in order to illuminate the large area with HID lamp as an emergency large-scale illumination. However, the heat loss increases with increasing the current in order to obtain a high intensity. Therefore, it is required that the radiation power increases at the low input power. Some researchers have researched that the radiation power is in proportion to Nth power of the current, which N parameter is depended on the electric field. However, the calculation model is simple because of the energy balance based on the only heat conduction. Therefore, the arc temperature should be calculated under consideration the radiation loss. It is necessary that the arc temperature distribution is controlled with the wall radius in order to obtain the high radiation power efficiently.In this paper, the radiation power affected by the electric field with changing wall radius and the current with wall-stabilized argon arc is elucidated. The radiation power is calculated by using the electromagnetic thermal fluid (EMTF) simulation and measured with changing the current and the wall radius.
