要約(日本語): 近年、実社会システムのさらなる高度化を目的として、AI技術の導入が急速に進みつつある。2017年4月に発足した「AI・機械学習委員会」は2年間の活動において、様々な分野の実システムの知能化に伴う課題を、機械学習を中心とした種々のAI技術の適用により解決し、より高度な実システムを実現するための調査研究を行ってきた。本稿では、2018年度の研究会や学術講演会等で発表された，本委員会の最新の研究事例の概要を述べる。
