要約(日本語): The objective of this paper is to present traction motor modeling and simulation with different pulse width modulation (PWM) techniques which are i) Sinusoidal pulse width modulation (SPWM), ii) Third-harmonic width modulation (THPWM) and Space vector pulse width modulation (SVPWM) by using MATLAB/Simulink. The proposed traction drive system consists of an induction motor modeled in the synchronous d-q reference frame. The traction motor performances with full-load torque driven by using three proposed techniques were investigated and compared for the total harmonic distortion (THD), harmonics spectra, fundamental peak of the output voltage and motor speed. From the simulation results, SVPWM shows the best performance of current harmonics level. It can be concluded that SVPWM gives enhanced fundamental output with better quality i.e. lesser THD compared than others
