要約(日本語): It is well known that free particle can seriously decrease the insulation level of GIS. With th aim to improve the reliability of GIS, many researches have been made on the breakdown characteristics of fixed particle in SF6 gap, but the motion behavior and breadown behavior of free conducting particle have not been discussed fully. In this paper, experiments were conducted to observed the motion behavior of free conducting particle in a diverging gap filled with SF6 stressed by DC or AC. Also, the breakdown strength of the gap triggered by free conducting particle was measured. From the results, it can been seen that the breakdown strength has a different gas-pressure dependence according to particle motion mode.Further more, particle motion mode shows a different gas-pressure dependence.
