要約(日本語): Life time of insulatyion system is often determined by partial discharge in air gap. the author have been studying the lifetime of Low density polyethylene (LDPE) film exposed torepetitive partial discharge, the film being inserted in needle and plane electrode system. We found that the temperature rise under repetitive partial discharge significantly affects the lifetime. Repetitive partial discharge may also change the surface resistifity of film and lead to higher temperature rise. It may reduce the lifetime more significantly. In this report, as a prelininary study, the decreased in surface resistivity was simulated by plasma treatment. Its effect on the surface reistance and temperature rise due to the discharge was investigated.
