要約(日本語): Recently, the surface permanent magnet linear synchronous motor has been popular for industry application replaced with the ball-screw motion using rotational motor. The PM-LSM requires the precise initial pole-position information for a smooth start-up and accurate motion control, which is given by more expensive pole sensor. On the low-cost requirement and reliability, the installation of pole sensor is undesirable. This paper proposes a novel method for the initial pole position estimation of a surface PM-LSM without pole sensor, which is based on the observing values of position given by the proposed algorithm in two reference frames. The algorithm does not utilize the effect of motor saliency, and then is independent of the motor structures in which the minimization of the effect of disturbance such as friction and cogging are also considered. The experimental results show the sufficient accuracy of the estimation within a short moving distance and estimation time.
