要約(日本語): Distributed Generation (DG) is currently attracting both distribution utilities and electricity users. DG can provide meaningful advantages for not only its owner, but also the utility to which it is connected. The advantages of DG are of both engineering and economic view points. For example, system reliability, loss reduction, peak load service, postponement of grid expansion, financial/trading purpose, and etc. Regarding system reliability, the installation of DG into a distribution system certainly affects the reliability of system as well as other system indices. A number of researches have proposed that DG can improve the system reliability, whereas some researches have conversely stated. The further detailed information should be revealed to support their proposals. In the relevant researches, there are several factors determining the impact of DG on the system reliability. However, two major issues will be discussed and studied in this paper: System isolation (backup generation) and Forced outage rate of DG These topics are addressed hereafter in order to point out how DG affects the system reliability.
