要約(日本語): Partial discharge (PD) is a symptom of degradation of insulation material in electric power equipment. The insulation diagnosis system using radio remote sensing technique has been developed because PD emits wide band electromagnetic (EM) waves. The system can locate PD source using the direction of arrival of EM waves.In this paper, the FDTD method is used to simulate the propagation of EM waves emitted form PD occurring on distribution line. The simulation domain includes distribution line, pole-mounted transformer, and electric concrete pole.
