要約(日本語): Organic field-effect transistors (OFETs) based on polymer of regioregular poly(3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT) and oligomer of pentacene (PEN) were fabricated under different experimental conditions. Film morphologies and aggregation states were characterized by UV-visible absorption spectra, AFM and out-of-plane XRD. For polythiophenes, self-assembled PI-PI stacking leads to H-aggregation. For PEN, it forms “herringbone” structure and the large tilting angle leads to J-aggregation. Multiple PI-PI* absorption peaks for P3HT films are ascribed to the vibronic progression with the ring breathing mode but not to the Davydov splitting due to aggregation, which might result from the folding of the long chain in polymers. This explanation coincides well with the relatively poor crystallinities and low mobilities in semicrystalline P3HT films.
