要約(日本語): The insertion of a nonmagnetic intermediate layer between Fe20Ni80 and Fe70Co30 layers is examined in order to clarify the magnetic anisotropy interaction between the ferromagnetic layers. An interlayer of Cu or Au of a few tens of lattice parameters in thickness does not retard the suppression of coercive force or increase in the anisotropy field of the Fe70Co30 film, whereas the insertion of an Si or SiO2 layer inhibits these effects. Certain interlayers are therefore suitable for use when the soft magnetization properties of the multilayer film are to be retained. The specific resistivity of the multilayer film is improved by a factor of 5 by insertion of 24 Fe70Co30 (18 Å) oxide interlayers, while retaining the magnetic anisotropy interaction between the top and bottom ferromagnetic layers. The insertion of a Mn interlayer is also found to enhance the soft magnetization effect due to magnetic anisotropy interaction. The maximum magnetization at high magnetizing force for a Fe20Ni80/{Fe70Co30/Mn}23/Fe20Ni80 multilayer is 15% higher than that for the Fe20Ni80/Fe70Co30 /Fe20Ni80 trilayer film.
