要約(日本語): This paper presents a study on the effect of the interline power flow controller (IPFC) on the power-angle curve of a single-machine infinite-bus (SMIB) system. The purpose of this study is to investigate whether a certain operation of IPFC in the system will cause transient stability problem or not. The power injection model of IPFC in transient stability analysis is proposed and incorporated into a SMIB system. Given the generator rotor angle and certain settings of the IPFC control variables, the generator’s electric output can be computed. Thus the power-angle curve can be drawn. The famous equal-area criterion is used to evaluate whether or not stability is maintained after the sudden application of IPFC.
