要約(日本語): The objective of the short-term operation in vertically integrated utilities is how to meet the load demand over the considered time horizon by scheduling the available generating units at the minimum operation cost. This short-term operation problem is called as unit commitment (UC) problem. The system operator has responsibility to obtain the best operating strategy which gives minimum expected operation cost while satisfying the prevailing constraints. This problem becomes much more complicated since in the actual planning problem, the operator faces the uncertainty coming from demand forecast error and generating unit unavailability [1]. This paper proposes a new method to determine the best short-term operating strategy by considering both of uncertainties using decision analysis.
