要約(日本語): A nanocomposite material of magnesium oxide (MgO) added low-density polyethylene (LDPE) was subjected to the investigation on electrical treeing breakdown. In the previous results [1], the visual aspects of treeing breakdown were investigated. In those investigations, the AC ramp voltage is applied, as soon as tree had been incepted; the voltage was hold to a constant value to observe the tree propagation until bridging and finally breakdown taken place. As results, even the trees had bridged the counter electrode; the breakdown does not always immediately to occur. There was time-lag to breakdown, as shown in Fig. 1. The bridging and breakdown times as well as time-lag to breakdown increased with increasing MgO contents in LDPE. The tree inception voltage, corresponding to the applied voltage also increased with that. The LDPE with MgO excelled to suppress increased of tree size than the LDPE without MgO. However, since the applied voltages were not exactly the same, the applied voltage change also was suspected to contribute the results. In order to ensure whether or not the voltage would responsible to contribute the longer bridging and breakdown times as well as time-lag, we re-do the experiment by using identical tree inception voltage to the specimen with and without nano-filler MgO.
