要約(日本語): In recent years, in overseas, there are projects of ultra high voltage (UHV) transmission exceeding 800 kV. In fact, UHV transmission lines are under construction as well as the substations with gas insulated switchgear in China. Japan AE Power Systems Corporation has developed new 1100 kV 50 kA double-break gas circuit breaker (GCB) used in GIS. This UHV-GCB, without opening resistor unit, is based on the technology of 550 kV single-break GCB. In the present paper, ratings, features and some results of development tests of new 1100 kV GCB are introduced.
