要約(日本語): For the high voltage electrical apparatus, charge is easy to be accumulated on the insulation surface for all kinds of reasons, among which, the most common one is partial discharge. The residual charge will influence the following discharge characteristics. Many researchers have investigated charge accumulation under dc stress and impulse conditions. It has been found that the residual charge changes the tangential and vertical components of the electrical field and strongly influences the propagation characteristics of surface discharge. In this paper, surface discharges on the PET film under impulse were observed by a high speed video camera. From the photographs, the influence of residual charge to the developing characteristics of surface discharge, including the propagation pattern, propagation distance, delay time and propagation speed are studied.
