要約(日本語): This paper proposes a systematic approach to maximize deduplication ratio in the complex system which installed plural heterogeneous deduplication methods. The approach determine the assignment of target backup data for deduplication methods implemented in the system so that total deduplicaton ratio is maximized under the predetermined operational limitations, i.e. backup windows, resource tolerance, performance and so on. This paper shows this assignment problem is formalized in integer programming. Effectiveness of the approach is evaluated by simulation.
