要約(日本語): General ac transmission system is operating at frequency 60 Hz. At this range, the problem of large charging current of cable capacitance causes large losses because charging current of cable capacitance is proportional to frequency. However, it still has the difficulties of control for multi-terminal system. It also has a difficulty of the space charge accumulation in the cable insulator. The accumulated space charge may malfunction the insulator dielectrics and induces a breakdown. We propose a control scheme that control transmitting power with over current limit to protect failure of LFAC using cycloconverters with simulation results in this paper.
