要約(日本語): An odor sensing system using insect olfactory receptor (OR) has a potential for a portable and high performance sensor. This type of sensor is constructed based on Sf21 cells expressing insect OR and fluorescence protein. However, the signal due to the fluorescence is very weak compared with the ambient light. This paper presents our experiments on applying the lock-in technique to the measurement of fluorescent signal under the high intensity of ambient light. An optical measurement system has been developed. The lock-in measurement blocks consist of high-pass filter (HPF), phase sensitive detector (PSD), and low-pass filter (LPF realized on MATLAB platform. The experimental results confirmed the fundamental behavior of lock-in measurement technique.
