要約(日本語): 従来のサイリスタバルブはサイリスタモジュールを下から支持碍子で支える自立型であった。今回，懸垂碍子を用いてサイリスタバルブを建屋の天井から吊り下げる，懸垂型サイリスタバルブを新たに開発した。本論文では，新規に開発した500 kVクラスの懸垂型サイリスタバルブについて，その構造とIEC規格に基づいた動作試験の結果を報告する。
