要約(日本語): Highly sensitive detection of proteins was realized using coulometric detection coupled with metallization. Two microfluidic channels were used to accommodate electrodes for the oxidation of an enzymatic reaction product and deposition of silver that occur simultaneously at the mixed potential. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) was conducted and hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) was oxidized on the electrode. The amount of deposited silver was measured by coulometry. By replacing the glucose plug with fresh ones to produce H2O2 additionally, the signal could be increased. Estimated detection limit of 0.4 ng/ml was achieved using the device.
