要約(日本語): Nowadays polymer materials have been used in air circuit breakers. As well know, usage of polymer materials in the quenching chamber is the methods of improving performance of air circuit breaker. When a fault occurs, inside a chamber of an air circuit breaker, arc discharge across the separating electrodes touches the insulator, and ablation gasses are generated and emitted. In order to clarify the ablation characteristics of polymer materials and improve the breaking performance of air circuit breakers, we conducted the experiments with four kinds of polymer materials by using high current interruption.
