要約(日本語): An air load break switch is a switching equipment which operated manually as well as automatically for controlling and protecting in electrical power system. As well known, usage of polymer materials in the extinguish chamber is one of the most effective methods of improving performance of an air load break switch. During a high current interruption, arc discharge across the separating electrodes touches the insulator, and ablation gasses are generated and emitted [1]. In order to clarify the ablation characteristics of polymer materials and improve the breaking performance of an air load break switch, we investigate on arc spectrum emission under high current condition with four kinds of polymer materials.
