要約(日本語): Internal field strength on electrode and distribution of vacuum interrupters (VIs) are important elements for its design. A vapor shield of a VI is a factor for the determination of the electric field strength on the contact edge as well as the field distribution inside the VI. By giving the vapor shield a well-defined electric potential, the impulse breakdown voltage can be increased. The present study shows a field emission measurement of potential-controlled VI under AC voltage. As a result, field emission voltage can be increased with vapor shield potential comparing with the floating potential case.
