要約(日本語): The present work aims to clarify the necessary operating conditions of a tapered plasma focus device (PFD) for efficient particle acceleration by means of the shock acceleration mechanism, when a high speed plasma interacts with magnetic fields under collisionless condition. For a preliminary study in the absence of an external magnetic field, the performance of the PFD is analyzed under low pressures (1Pa) for three types of inner electrodes and its influence on the reproducibility and plasma velocity is verified.
