要約(日本語): A cell balancing is necessary to ensure reliable, efficient and longtime use of the battery systems. Both active and passive cell balancing techniques have already been introduced. Passive cell balancing is cost effective, but it consumes amount of energy as a power loss. Active cell balancing is effective and shows higher performance with accurately estimation of a state of charge (SOC) and state of health (SOH) parameters. However, precise estimation requires extensive and high cost voltage/current transducer at each cell/string. This manuscript introduces novel SOC estimation technique that utilizes existing cell balancing circuit.
