要約(日本語): 生産システムのコントローラレベル機器とフィールド機器を結合するフィールド機器ネットワークは、長らくメーカー固有であったが、オープンなフィールド機器ネットワークが、その活発な適用推進活動によって適用メリットが認知され、地域別、用途別の標準として適用が拡大しつつある。これらの適用に当っては、要求に対する適合レベル、システム構築・保守上の安定性などの面で、ユーザーの適用方針の確立とこれを支えるメーカー、推進団体の技術支援において解決すべき課題が多い。 金属産業の生産システムでは、高速性、高信頼性、大容量などの要求レベルが厳しいため、オープンフィールド機器ネットワークの適用に対する実態把握と対応の検討が急務となっている。電気学会金属産業技術委員会では、金属産業生産システムにおけるフィールド機器ネットワーク調査専門委員会を設置し、平成14年7月から２年強の期間にわたり、製鉄所における代表的な鉄鋼製造設備におけるオープンフィールド機器ネットワークの適用実態の調査、課題の抽出および適用要件の検討を行った。本委員会活動により、金属産業生産システムにおけるオープンフィールド機器ネットワークの適用に関する基礎的な調査結果が得られた。本報告書では、オープンフィールド機器ネットワーク適用状況の調査と適用上の課題の抽出、標準化動向の調査、適用拡大の方策と課題をまとめ、今後の方向性を考察した。

要約(英語): Open field network, which connects controller level equipments with field equipments, is expanding its application as a standard field network depending to region and usage, since its advantage is acknowledged by active promotion, though field network was proprietary to equipment manufacturer for a long time. In its application, there are many subjects to be solved for users’ application policy establishment and manufacturers’ technical assistance together with promotion group in terms of the agreement level to system requirements and the stability of system engineering and maintenance, etc.. Since the level of requirements such as high speed, high reliability and large capacity, etc. is severe in metal industry production system, the investigation of real situation and the examination of the measure for the open field network application are urgent tasks. Technical Committee of Metal Industry Division of the Institute of Electrical Engineers Japan organized “Investigation Committee for Field Network Application in Metal Industry Production System”. It made investigation of the actual conditions, extraction of the subjects, and examination of the requirements for open field network application in typical iron and steel production facilities, for two years or more from July 2002. Basic investigation results concerning open field network application in metal industry production system were obtained through the committee activities. In this report, the investigation of open field network application status, the extraction of subjects in application, the study of standardization trend, and the measure and its subjects for application expansion were brought together, and additionally its direction in the future was considered.
