Therefore, to meet the needs of the times, improvements and developments of switchgears have been conducted for Improving safety, miniaturization, and environmental pollution control measures. In recently, Such as prevention global warming, the environment item has been especially attracting attention. To establish compatibility between, there are two important points, which are ① Environmental resistance performance (protecting switchgear from the adverse influence ambient condition), ② Decreasing environment load, including prevention of global warming. Switchgears recently have made a contribution to energy conservation and resources conservation by reducing calorific value and miniaturization in addition to environmental resistance performance and decreasing environment load. This report has the trend of switchgear technology with consideration of environmental resistance performance, describing efforts to decreasing environmental load of switchgear technology, and hopes this report will make a contribution to the development of both technology and decreasing environment load in the future.
