1) Through the analysis of statistic investigations, the awareness, applications and problems about the PM machine are set forth.
2) From the interviews of three companies which utilize the PM machine, their applications, impressions and problems are summarized.
3) The latest cases of the applications in the field of general industry, transportation, consumer apparatus, and the servo-drives are presented.
4) Fundamental technologies for the PM machine, i.e. the analysis and design methods, and the materials (permanent magnet and the electro-magnetic steel), are exprained.
