要約(日本語): 近年，可変速交流ドライブ技術は，産業応用分野から民生機器分野にわたるまで幅広い分野に広がり，現在社会には不可欠な技術として位置づけられるに至った。この中では，旧来の直流ドライブの置換えばかりではなく，ハイブリッド自動車など可変速交流ドライブならではの性能を活かした電動ドライブの新しい用途を広げつつある分野でも実用化が進んできている。また，既存分野においても従来の直流ドライブではなしえなかった交流ドライブならではのより進化した性能・機能を活かして小型化，高効率化，高性能化などシステムの性能・機能を飛躍的に高められている例も多い。しかしながら，こうした交流ドライブの技術の進歩は対象とする分野や用途の要求に対してなされるため，交流ドライブ全体の技術の到達点をまとめた資料は少ない。そこで本報告書では，可変速交流ドライブ技術を，高速化，低速・センサレス制御，大容量化，高応答化，高制度化，小型化，高効率化の観点での調査結果を報告する。

要約(英語): Adjustable-speed AC drive technology has been applied to wide range of fields, from industrial applications to consumer electronics, and so has become an indispensable technology in modern society. Adjustable-speed AC drives are used not only replacement of DC drives, but also new fields which take advantage of their characteristics such as hybrid cars, etc. In addition, adjustable-speed AC drives can dramatically improve performance and function than DC drives because of their characteristics, there are many cases which they are used in the existing fields and improving performance or function as downsizing, efficiency or high-performance. However, these improvements of adjustable-speed AC drive technologies have achieved for specific purpose, there aren't many documents which summarizing the entire technologies of adjustable-speed AC drives. Thus, this technical report summarizes investigating of adjustable-speed AC drive technologies from the point of view of high-speed operation, low-speed sensorless control, large capacity inverter, high response, torque accuracy, downsizing and efficiency.
