要約(英語): In recent years, the environment surrounding load dispatching operation in Japan has changed dramatically and the operations have become more complex due to the increase of renewable energy sources such as solar and wind power generation, as well as the establishment of electricity balancing market for the purpose of revitalizing the electricity market. To ensure a stable supply of electricity even under such circumstances, the load dispatching operation system of transmission system operators need to be upgraded and enhanced with various functions. This investigating R&D committee, based on the background mentioned above, surveyed the current status and future trends of various functions of monitoring and control systems, which form the basis of the load dispatching operation system, and summarized the prospects expected to be realized in the future through the introduction of innovative technologies to improve the performance of the systems themselves and enhance their functions. In addition, the committee also surveyed specific examples of load dispatching operation system in other typical countries and areas (Europe and the U.S.).
