要約(英語): A design methodology for impulse generator for partial discharge test is developed. The fabrication of a generator is also described using a high-power semiconductor module. And the results of testing the generator on a variable amplitude DC power source, in arrow pair coils and form wound coil, are presented. The experimental results confirm the design and indicate how the required impedance of the generator for detecting partial discharge can be achieved.
