要約(日本語): The environmental, economic and security issues are pressing all nations to seriously consider the use of greener renewable sources for energy generation. Among many solar and wind are receiving greater attention in many parts of the world. However the nature, stochastic, of generation from such sources is posing many challenges when they are to be integrated to the existing system in large numbers. Accordingly there are two major problems to be answered: (a)How to operate a large number of renewable sources in harmony within the existing power system? (b)How to tackle efficiently, the intermittent nature of generation from renewable sources? Balancing active supply and demand due to the stochastic nature of renewable generation is a difficult task in future power systems. Already various strategies have been proposed and tested on either hypothetical systems or test systems, the best possible approach, in the absence of the exact picture of future power systems. Thus proposing strategies to suit possible architecture of future networks is valuable. In this paper authors propose a strategy for load balancing assuming that: (a) necessary ICT infrastructure for information exchange, controllable loads, (b) a reasonable mixture of generation, (c) connectivity to the main grid, (d) energy storage of both forms, recoverable and unrecoverable, are available within the section, identified as ubiquitous power network.
